Export Coordinator Position

Open Position:

Due to our growing activities in the United States and Canada, we are looking to appoint a new member to join our support staff.

The role primarily is to organize and ship the embryos sold by AMS Genetics and Holstein Plaza. The position will also include doing various support work, data entry, keeping up to date on the current health regulations and assisting with Holstein Plaza and Hotspots Magazine.

The successful applicant will be an energetic, enthusiastic, self-motivated and independent individual with a strong work ethic and must possess an excellent knowledge of dairy cattle breeding. Service minded, exceptional organization skills and an excellent knowledge of Holsteins are the key points of being successful in this job. Applicants should also have outstanding people and phone skills and be computer literate in all areas of Microsoft Office.

The successful applicant will be based in the Boonsboro, Md. office and reporting directly to the General Manager, Steve Mower. Compensation will be industry competitive and determined by level of experience. EMBRYOS NEEDED
February 21, 2012

AMS currently has an order for embryos that are already produced and qualify for export.  For the first group of embryos, we are looking for pedigrees on heifers that are GTPI of 2050 and above and pedigrees on milking females that are GTPI 1950 and above. Heifers should be sired by proven bulls. Embryos need to be sired by the following sires: Santana, Admiral, Hill, Hero, Sudan, Windbrook, Dempsey, Stanley Cup, Emerald, Altagratis, Dreamer, Spectrum, Mural, Wildthing, Maxum and Willrock.

The second group of embryos we are looking for are from Heifers and Cows that come from top cow families. Embryos need to be sired by the following Genomic Bulls including Observer, Shamrock, Gold Chip, Bradnick, Atwood, Holid-Red, and Dancer-Red.

A New Year Brings a New Face

As the new year begins, we bring a new face to the company. Anna Troester has recently been hired as the sales support/export coordinator for our international business of import and export services. In this role, she will coordinate import and export shipping and paperwork including all logistics. In addition, she will assist with the projects and efforts of HolsteinPlaza.com including website updates and the monthly online embryo auctions. Troester will be working out of the Boonsboro, Maryland office. She has a strong dairy background extending back to her family's registered Holstein farm, MAARS Holsteins in Garnavillo, Iowa. Anna graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville majoring in Animal Science with a dairy emphasis and she has a Biology minor. She was actively involved with the Pioneer Dairy Club, collegiate dairy judging team, and was a member of the Sigma Alpha Professional Agriculture Sorority. Her past internship was with CRI/Genex working to locate, evaluate, and picture daughters for the December 2011 proof release.
